Westpac Supreme Business of the Year Award

The Regional Business Partner group, in conjunction with Westpac New Zealand Limited, announced the launch of the Westpac Gisborne Business Excellence Awards (“the Awards”) on January 16, 2012. After three successful Award campaigns, we welcome back our bi-annual event in 2018, with Activate Tairāwhiti taking on the role as lead agent in partnership with Westpac.

Entry Timeline

Entries Open:  Entry information will be available from activatetairawhiti.co.nz
Entries Close EXTENDED: Now May 1st 2018. All completed entries must be received by the Event coordinator or Activate Tairāwhiti  on or before 5pm.
Judging Process: June - July 2018. After the allocation of categories and initial assessment of entries, two Judges will conduct an initial site visit to each business (maximum of 90 minutes). They will seek further clarification on any aspect of the entry, including financials. The judges may need to undertake a second site visit where they may, for example, make a closer examination of the financials, speak to other staff and spend more time with the business owner.
Finalists Announced: 17 August 2018. Public acknowledgement will be promoted.
Westpac Gisborne Business Excellence Awards Ceremony 2018 - Presentation and Dinner: F7 September 2018. Announcement of category finalists, winners and the overall Westpac Supreme Business of the Year will be made at the Awards function at the Showgrounds Event Centre. Bookings will be essential - LIMITED. Tickets $95 per person (includes 3 course menu - cash bar).
